Book a Yacht Charter Mediterranean

Booking a private crewed yacht is a longer piece of work than sending a form. This is what happens between your first enquiry and the moment you step aboard.

1. Outline

Share your dates, guest count, preferred region and any specific requirements. A specialist responds within 24–48 hours to confirm the outline, ask any clarifying questions, and open a working file.

2. Shortlist

LYC Mediterranean confirms live availability directly with central agents and returns a considered shortlist — usually two to four yachts genuinely suited to the brief, each with a written note on why it fits. This is not a database dump.

3. Contract and deposit

Once a yacht is selected, the MYBA charter agreement is issued. A first instalment of 50% of the base fee is typically due on signature; the balance and APA are due 30 days before embarkation. Funds are held in the central agent's escrow account.

4. Preference sheet and pre-charter briefs

Four to six weeks before embarkation, the yacht sends a preference sheet — dietary requirements, favourite drinks, activity interests, cabin allocations. The captain then proposes an itinerary based on your outline and adjusts it in a call before you fly.

5. Embarkation

Most Mediterranean charters embark on Saturday and disembark the following Saturday. The captain and chief stew meet the group at the passerelle, walk through the yacht, and the week begins on your terms.

Timelines

High-summer weeks (July, August): begin 6–9 months out. Shoulder-season weeks (May, June, September, October): 3–5 months. Late availability does exist and can offer meaningful value; a specialist will surface it when it appears.
