The steps in order

To charter a yacht in the Mediterranean well, work backwards from the week itself — the group, the dates, the pace — and let the yacht be the last decision, not the first.

1. Outline the week

Party size, dates (or a two- to three-week window), rough cruising ground, and any preferences that would rule yachts in or out — sailing vs motor, minimum cabin count, dietary needs, celebrations on board.

2. Receive a shortlist

LYC Mediterranean returns a shortlist of two to four yachts genuinely available on your dates, with layouts, crew notes and honest trade-offs — not a database dump.

3. Refine and confirm the yacht

We compare the shortlisted yachts side by side, place a soft hold on the leading option, and coordinate the MYBA charter agreement. A first deposit (typically 50%) confirms the booking.

4. Pre-charter briefs

A preference sheet goes to the yacht — dietary requirements, favourite drinks, activity interests, celebrations to plan for. The captain drafts a proposed itinerary based on your outline, weather and marina availability.
